Star International School Al Qusais Dubai is actively looking to recruit a strong, resilient and innovative Secondary Islamic Teacher to join their school in October 2023. Reporting to Head of Secondary, the successful candidate will be required to teach year 7 – 13  classes. Purpose of An Islamic Teacher

Working as part of a team to deliver  secondary Islamic A curriculum with additional pastoral care responsibilities.

Job Duties of Islamic Teacher

• Deliver complete Islamic A curriculum to students through easy and understandable methodologies.
• Develop a proper teaching method & teach Islamic things through a good examples for easy comprehension of students.
• Identify weak students and lay special emphasis on them.
• Develop sense of morality, honesty and truthfulness through islamic examples.
• Keep tests to ascertain the understanding of students frequently.
• Perform any other duty related to teaching or as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Islamic Studies and recognised teaching qualification (British preferably)
• Minimum of 2 years recent teaching experience in KS3,KS4 and KS5 [Arabic A and Islamic A].

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of the latest UK practice from either the UK or a British Curriculum school overseas.
• A good knowledge MOE curricula.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the ever changing world of education.
• Be reflective and passionate about self-development.
• Have the ability to research new initiatives and implement them whilst evaluating current processes.
• Proficient in ICT & learning technologies.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities.
