Job Duties of An Investment Planning Analyst

• Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for investments, using methods such as discounted cash flow, payback period, etc.
• Prepare business cases, investment proposals, and presentations for senior management and board approval, highlighting the key assumptions, financial projections, risks, and mitigations of each investment opportunity.
• Monitor and report on the performance of existing investments and projects.
• Identifying any deviations from the expected outcomes and recommending corrective actions or exit strategies if needed.
• Communicate the planning progress of network related programmes and business cases.
• Research and analyze market trends, industry dynamics, competitors, and regulatory developments to identify areas of improvement for the company’s portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, legal, operations, engineering, and marketing to ensure alignment and coordination of investment planning activities and objectives
• Liaise with project stakeholders to produce business cases that identify various resolution options for issues and opportunities, including benefit mapping, cost benefit analysis, delivery plan and risk analysis.
• Guide project managers and business owners through the development of project change requests related to variations in scope or budget.
• Collaborate with business owners to conduct post implementation review of project benefits in context of the original business cases.
