An Internal Audit Manager at NMC Healthcare is primarily responsible for overseeing the internal audit function within an organization, ensuring that all financial and operational controls are in place and operating effectively. This role is also responsible for managing a team of internal auditors and providing guidance on audit issues, as well as developing and implementing audit plans.
Responsibilities of Internal Audit Manager
- Assist with the development of risk management strategies and initiatives
- Work closely with other senior executives to identify and assess the NMC’s risks and establish risk management strategies.
- Direct and manage a team of internal auditors to ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with the audit plan and standards
- Provide regular reports and updates of the internal audit function’s performance and compliance with UAE laws and regulations.
- Participate in the development of the NMC’s strategic plan and assist with the implementation of key initiatives.
- Conduct and oversee the execution of internal audits in accordance with audit plans and professional auditing standards.
- Follow up on audit findings and recommendations to ensure that corrective actions have been taken
- Provide training and guidance to staff on audit procedures, internal controls, and best practices.
Education & Experience
Following are the prerequisites for the role of Internal Audit Manager at NMC Healthcare:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting, Finance or related fields. Master’s degree will be an advantage.
- CPA, CIA, or other relevant professional certification is preferable.
- 8+ years of experience in internal auditing of which 3 years in a senior role, Healthcare experience in UAE will be an advantage.
