Insurance Coordinator Novomed Dubai

Novomed is currently looking for a qualified and experienced Insurance Coordinator to join their Branch in Dubai. This job opportunity was announced by the company on January 19, 2024 and is now open for applications. This position will ensure smooth timely pre-authorization, revision, and finalization of approvals.

Responsibilities of Insurance Coordinator

• Confirm the eligibility and coverage of patient’s insurance plan.
• Review diagnostic investigation documents and insurance policy to coordinate for the approval of insurance claims.
• Attach appropriate documentation and forward them to the insurance provider in the approved format.
• Coordinate with physician and nursing team for any additional document support.
• Update the patient on the status of approval to ensure effective patient care.
• In case of non approval, resolve the issue and resubmit the claim.
• Maintain proper record of patients insurance information, claims & payments.
• Perform any other duty regarding insurance of patients as asked by higher authorities or which may fall within scope of job work.
• Coordinate with staff internally to obtain relevant underwriting data.
• Prepare current / up-to-date claims and premium reconciliation reports.
• Carry out the initial checking of insurance premium bills for payment approval by insurance manager.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Insurance Coordinator at Novomed:

• Coding certification AAPC or AHIMA.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in handling pre-authorization and approval management (outpatient, Day case and Inpatient DRG)
• Experience in hospital /Daycare centers in Dubai/UAE.

Knowledge & Skills

• Well versed with E claim portals for pre-authorization needs.
• Sound knowledge in coding.
• Expert in MS office.
• Able to handle queries from doctors, insured members, and TPAs/ Insurance companies.
