Health & Medical Services Co. is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator to join their team in Dubai. This job opportunity was announced by the company on January 8, 2024 and is now open for applications. This person will manage all patients insurance related tasks from verification stage to processing of claims, enabling patients to obtain their authorized insurance benefits.

Duties of Insurance Coordinator

• Confirm the eligibility and coverage of  patient’s insurance plan.
• Review diagnostic investigation documents and insurance policy to coordinate for the approval of insurance claims.
• Attach appropriate documentation and forward them to the insurance provider in the approved format.
• Coordinate with physician and nursing team for any additional document support.
• Update the patient on the status of approval to ensure effective patient care.
• In case of non approval, resolve the issue and resubmit the claim.
• Maintain proper record of patients insurance information, claims & payments.
• Perform any other duty regarding insurance of patients as asked by higher authorities or which may fall within scope of job work.
• Coordinate with staff internally to obtain relevant underwriting data.
• Prepare current / up-to-date claims and premium reconciliation reports.
• Carry out the initial checking of insurance premium bills for payment approval by insurance manager.

Qualification & Experience

Following are the desired qualifications for the role of Insurance Coordinator at HMSCO:

• Must be a CPC certificate holder.
• Having minimum 2 years’ experience in the medical coding process.
• Must have minimum 2 years local experience in handling IP DRG admissions, preferably in Dubai region.
• Preferably from the science back ground.
• Preferably a Male Candidate as there will be night shifts.
