Job Purpose of An Insurance Advisor

Responsible for helping clients to understand the scope of their insurance coverage and assisting them in finding the most cost effective solution to best meet their needs.

Job Duties of An Insurance Advisor

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance coverage, policy changes and other related matters.
• Work with underwriters to review & assess customer needs.
• Provide quotes for potential policies.
• Negotiate with underwriters and carriers to find the best rates and coverage.
• Effectively explain coverage details to customers.
• Track customer records and document details.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of IIQAF’s products and services.
• Research and evaluate new products.
• Upsell additional services when appropriate.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as business administration or finance or accounting or economics.
• At least 2 years of experience in insurance industry.
• Previous experience with customer service is a plus.

Skills Desired

• Detail oriented and organized.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Good negotiation & problem solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc).
• Self starter with the ability to work independently.
