Job Description

UOWD is currently seeking applications for the role of Instructor Finance/Economics/Statistics/Analytics within the School of Business. The School of Business is looking for a dynamic Instructor, who is passionate about Teaching and learning in the core discipline area, as demonstrated by pursuance of scholarship, and/or evidence of practice impact, such as through relevant industry collaborations. A key part of the instructor role is to make impactful contributions to the teaching and learning goals of the University, in alignment with Subject learning outcomes and in collaboration with relevant Subject coordinators (Assistant/Associate/Full professors).

Duties of Instructor Finance/Economics/Statistics/Analytics

  • The Instructor will be responsible for conducting tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops and other immersive learning experiences, in accordance with established course outlines and lesson plans; besides maintaining student class records and providing Academic advise during student consultation hours.
  • The Instructor will carry out these teaching and learning responsibilities in line with the strategic vision and mission of the Faculty and University.
  • All Academic Staff including Instructors are expected to contribute to Service, in line with Faculty Strategic and Operational priorities.
  • All candidates are expected to embody the UOWD core values of Integrity, Passion, Courage, Excellence, Collaboration and Innovation.

Job Requirements of Instructor Finance/Economics/Statistics/Analytics

  • A Master’s degree in  Finance/Economics or another relevant area of study is essential for this position.
  • 2 year prior teaching experience at university level.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Fluency in the English language (both spoken and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi cultural environment.
  • Candidate must have excellent knowledge in the areas of Finance, Statistics, Analytics and Economics.
