Job Description
Instore Visual Merchandiser at GMG will be responsible for the development and implementation of effective creative display standards and methods, creating a world class retail environment. The job holder will also ensure that all creative implementations compliment the visual merchandising/ product presentation guidelines so that the two are commercially balanced and working in harmony, in line with the overall Business Units objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supports Business Units in maximizing market share using product presentation skill and business awareness.
- Plans and develops an innovative product presentation seasonal concept solutions.
- Conducts market research/audit/monitor competitors and understands the latest trends.
- Brings innovation, excitement and retail theatre to in-store and window implementations.
- Develops a close working relationship and communication link with Operations Team & Brand Managers to maintain a detailed knowledge of the store merchandise & commercial opportunities.
- Develop, read and interpret sales analysis (weekly and monthly) by product, providing feedback to management on possible improvement actions.
- People Management:Â Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals.
- Defines goals & key performance indicators for each member of the team.
- Ensures effective implementation of the GMG’s performance management process.
Requirements for Role of Instore Visual Merchandiser
- An Associate degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior design, graphic design or in related fields.
- 1-2 years of experience in Visual Merchandising in relevant field.
