The Institutional Effectiveness Manager at Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives is responsible for planning and implementing the institutional effectiveness activities of the School in coordination with the Director of Planning & Institutional Effectiveness. The responsibilities include implementing quality assurance initiatives, conducting quality audits of academic and administrative units to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, preparation of reports on institutional effectiveness and responding to information requests from internal and external constituents as well supporting the academic accreditation activities of the School.

Responsibilities of Institutional Effectiveness Manager

  • Work closely with the Department Director to implement an array of quality assurance and institutional effectiveness initiatives that will serve to improve the quality of School’s academic and administrative services.
  • Prepare the School to deal with the standards and conditions of academic accreditation programs through communication, training and awareness activities.
  • Coordinate all aspects of academic accreditations with the Ministry of Education and any other relevant accreditation initiatives.
  • Support the Department Director to develop, design, administer, and analyze MBRSG’s wide surveys related to institutional effectiveness.
  • Support the Department Director with budget preparation and budget information.
  • Plan and conduct internal quality audits focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with external & internal regulations and best practice, develop audit reports and follow up on corrective actions arising out of the audits.
  • Work closely with the Department Director to assess and review policies and procedures to its latest version.
  • Prepare reports such as the Fact book to meet regulatory requirements and internal stakeholder needs.
  • Work closely with the Department Director to ensure that the Institutional Effectiveness unit serves as the chief source of accurate management information and statistics for the School and also provide specialized data reports requested by the Ministry of Education, CHEDS etc.
  • Conduct business analysis for section by collecting and evaluating data, and prepare data reports on the performance of business units. In order to identify strengths and areas for improvement or development.
  • Support all Units in their self assessments activities to highlight gaps and barriers that face excellence and quality.
  • Feasibility Studies: Research on key development drivers and risks facing the business whilst providing supporting. Analysis, benchmarks and feasibility studies to facilitate the development of School academic programs.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Institutional Effectiveness Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Quality Management, preferably with a professional Quality Management Certification like ISO.
  • 5 + years’ experience in quality assurance and institutional effectiveness in higher education sector.
