Role of Infrastructure Engineer

Designs, implements, and manages the underlying systems, networks, and hardware to support du’s IT environment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

Duties of Infrastructure Engineer

• Manage office infrastructure including workstations, peripherals including printers, scanners and phone systems, office network devices including WIFI and routers.
• Provide a support to office users with their IT issues.
• Manage user’s access to IT systems and services including Windows AD, Exchange, Office VPN, Office365, Databases, AWS and GCP consoles etc.
• Manage Nutanix HCI configuration.
• Set up and manage Virtual machines in Nutanix.
• Manage hardware in data centers.
• Collaborate with application team in helping them host, deploy and maintain their applications in on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee monitoring tools, configure required triggers and alerts.
• Collaborate with external support teams.
• Ensure the execution of the IT services is aligned with company policies.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

• MBA in business, sales, or marketing is an advantage.

Experience

• Strong experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with network and security technologies such as firewall, VPN, and VLANs.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
• Experience with AWS and GCP.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Certifications in relevant technologies such as Microsoft, Cisco, AWS and GCP.
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with Backup solutions, DRP solutions.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with ITIL framework and incident management process.
• Strong understanding of IT security concepts and best practices.
