Job Description

Centro Barsha by rotana is looking for Information Technology Officer who knows their way around hotel tech fixing things, sorting out system issues, and making sure the team isn’t stuck with frozen screens or broken printers. The job’s full-time and based on-site at Centro Barsha in Dubai. If you’ve handled IT in hotels before, even better. As a Information Technology Officer you’ll be doing a bit of everything from basic troubleshooting to helping folks get back online quickly and keeping the equipment room from turning into chaos. A degree in IT or computer-related studies is needed. Prior hands-on experience, ideally in a hotel environment, will make you stand out. If you’ve dealt with systems like Opera, Micros, or email setup, that’s a bonus. The job calls for someone dependable, responsive, and detail-oriented, especially under pressure.

Job Title

Information Technology Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure all systems, devices, and hotel tech are working correctly.
  • Handle minor repair tasks for computers, phones, and printers.
  • Support staff members who run into system errors or software issues.
  • Keep logs updated for inventory, hardware setup, and software use.
  • Review access control, user login setups, and reset passwords when needed.
  • Track phone system setups and maintain telephone line records.
  • Respond quickly to support requests and maintain follow-through.
  • Organize tech supply inventory and reorder items when running low.
  • Ensure network security standards are followed.
  • Set up new workstations for new employees or departments.
  • Take part in software or firmware updates when necessary.
  • Stick to hotel IT policies and make sure procedures are being followed.
  • Coordinate with service providers for major technical repairs.
  • Help during internal audits by keeping files and system records in order.
  • Stay informed about the hotel’s specific tools and how to keep them running.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer engineering, or a similar field.

Experience

  • 1–2 years in an IT role.
  • Hotel tech or hospitality software experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Comfortable fixing basic computer and phone issues.
  • Knows how to install, upgrade, or troubleshoot system tools.
  • Good at managing time, especially during urgent tasks.
  • Communicates clearly with non-technical staff.
  • Can follow up on requests without needing supervision.
  • Familiar with Windows, Microsoft tools, and network basics.

Knowledge

  • General networking setups (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers).
  • Email configuration and access management.
  • Opera, Micros, or related hospitality platforms.
  • Data backups and basic security procedures.
  • Managing inventories and tech documentation.
