About the Role

Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi is seeking an outstanding Inclusion Teacher to join the school for the academic year 2026/2027. Additionally, this full-time teaching position involves creating a climate conducive to outstanding learning and teaching while identifying and supporting SEN and gifted students. Furthermore, Yasmina British Academy has recently moved to a new multi-building campus with state-of-the-art facilities that serves as a social, sporting, and performance hub for the community. The academy is rated Outstanding by ADEK in all six performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

As an Inclusion Teacher, you will identify clear teaching objectives and set tasks that challenge students while ensuring high levels of interest and engagement. Moreover, you will make effective use of assessment and performance data to deliver differentiated learning matched to individual student needs. In addition, you will mark and monitor students’ work, set targets for progress, and assess and record progress systematically. Furthermore, you will ensure the effective deployment of classroom support staff and contribute to the corporate life of the academy. You will also take part in open evenings, parent-teacher consultations, and marketing activities while engaging in child protection and safeguarding training.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related subject with a Special Education qualification or PGCE, or be currently completing 40 hours of SEN Teacher training. Additionally, a minimum of one to two years of teaching experience is required, with experience teaching the British curriculum being essential. Moreover, candidates should demonstrate a positive and solution-focused attitude to working life. Furthermore, a clean enhanced DBS check or police check is required, along with respect for all members of the school community.
