Additionally, this school serves students from Nursery to Year 6 following the National Curriculum of England and is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi city.

About the Role

As an Inclusion Teacher at Pearl British Academy, you will provide professional leadership for the inclusion department to secure high-quality teaching and effective use of resources. Furthermore, you will deliver inspiring lessons tailored to students with special educational needs, ensuring every child achieves the best possible outcomes. Moreover, you will collaborate with fellow teachers, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to support student development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons that inspire students with diverse learning needs to succeed
• Plan and present sessions catering for the full ability range including SEN, EAL, and gifted students
• Organise classroom provision and resources to create an inclusive learning environment
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and school assessment frameworks
• Use assessment data to inform planning, provision, and targeted interventions
• Liaise with external professionals including therapists and educational psychologists
• Communicate with parents regarding student achievements and wellbeing via CPOMS
• Run weekly extra-curricular activities and support school events

Requirements

• Bachelor of Education with Diploma in Special Education or Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education
• Minimum 1-2 years experience as an Inclusion Teacher in the English Curriculum
• Teaching across the ability range with proven success
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices
• Experience of working in international schools is desirable
• Experience of teaching IB PYP is a bonus
• A clean enhanced DBS check or police check
