Responsibilities of Hypermarket Cashier
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
- Scan and bag items, provide receipts, and process payments.
- Greet customers and assist with inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Handle returns and exchanges following company policies.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient store operations.
- Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Collect payments whether in cash or credit
- Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
- Redeem stamps and coupons
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
- Bag, box or gift-wrap packages
- Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
Requirements of Hypermarket Cashier
- High School Diploma.
- Previous experience of 1-2 years as a Cashier in a retail or similar setting.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Strong numerical and communication skills.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
