Job Description
Technician, HVAC (Air Conditioning Elec. SS) at ADNOC is required to carry out a variety of routine maintenance, inspections, repair and supervision of electrical, electromechanical equipment and heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems onboard the vessels and in house repair and maintenance of electrical equipment. Duties Of An HVAC Technician
- Perform routine maintenance, care and cleanliness of the plant electrical equipment heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Monitor proper operation and condition of electrical equipment.
- Supervise and participate in the installation and alteration of electrical equipment including follow-up of all services carried out by contractors.
- Perform equipment testing, adjusting and repair, including diagnosis of routine electrical equipment Heating, Ventilation and Air-Condoning failure.
- Familiarizing with details of emergency stations and procedures.
- Maintaining high standard of housekeeping in area of work.
- Using appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing.
- Undertake other assignments as deemed appropriate by the division’s management.
- Review and discuss job requests, sketches, and drawings to determine precise requirements and arrange to obtain and transport required materials and equipment to work site
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Be informed about available technical research and projects, seek information, and evaluate new technology for use onboard the vessels, as well as institute test programs on such equipment together with vessels’ personnel.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of highquality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with ADNOC HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and ADNOC Core Values.
Eligibility Requirements For HVAC Technician
The eligibility requirements for the role of HVAC Technician are as under:
- Completion of Secondary Educations (12 years) plus 2 years’ formal training or apprenticeship in welding.
- At least 4 years’ experience in the electrical and electromechanical, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems maintenance and repair.
- At least 3 years’ experience of marine electrical systems is preferable.
Skills Desired
- Skill in detection, diagnosis, and maintenance and repair of marine electrical, electromechanical, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment.
