Job Purpose of A HSE Head

• Design & communication of all HSE programs for the company, to drive improvement across all of these areas.
• Develop and provide technical and administrative direction on all HSE decisions, which bear critical importance to overall company operations.
• Manage safety across all IFFCO sites worldwide.

Your Job Duties As A HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Head At IFFCO Dubai (UAE)

• Provide guidance to the business unit leaders in the effective deployment of resources to deliver step change HSE activities, sustained by robust auditing systems.
• Develop teams within the business units to take responsibility to implement HSE initiatives.
• Ensure that HSE function is resourced and appointing specialists / consultants for specific HSE activities.
• Advise Business Units in maintaining regulatory compliance documentation.
• Serve as the Corporate expert within the field of HSE when called upon to advise on regulatory agency compliance issues, third party safety & liability consultants and subcontractor representatives.
• Ensure plans are in place to ensure the company progresses against industry HSE bench marks.
• Establish effective competency development programs to increase proficiency in safe practices.
• Leverage communication channels continually to maintain an appropriate level of HSE awareness, knowledge and know how across the company.
• Develop and/or review internal HSE policy and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate.
• Establish a robust hazard identification and risk assessment system to ensure risks are controlled.
• To Identify and establish HSE records and supporting management systems.
• Advise the Business Units to develop cost effective HSE budgets during the fiscal cycle, supported with implementation guidance.
• Actively take part in safety meetings across Business Units to review and advise on HSE performance and policy.
• Stay abreast of current and new technical and professional aspects of this position.
• Regularly meet with senior management and Supervisory Board.
• Develop a clear reporting system to provide a measure of the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
• Clearly define and apply a safety measurement system with leading indicators with a clear link to harm reduction.
• Implement all HSE systems in line with the corporate digital strategy.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

• Bachelors degree or higher in Safety, Engineering or a related field.
• NEBOSH.
• Fire safety.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of industry safety experience.

Knowledge Required

• Advanced knowledge of industry practices, regulatory agency needs and industry standards.
