The role of Temporary HSE Coordinator at Nabors Industries is to provide support to the HSE Manager, HSE Superintendents, HSE Department and Rig Superintendents as required, and as described but not limited to the Duties and Responsibilities listed below. Job ID for this vacancy is 2400002A.

Duties Of Temporary HSE Coordinator

  • Assume a leadership role through orientation, mentoring and coaching of the base, yard and workshop personnel regarding Nabors HSE Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • In conjunction with the Analyst coordinate preparation and distribution of Safety Bulletins, Alerts and Lessons Learned. Monitor confirmation and close out.
  • Assist and prepare internal and external audits – including the opening and closing auditors meetings.
  • Assist the Service Quality Team in facilitating general arrangements associated with visits, audits and   inspections.
  • Where applicable, ensure the implementation and monitoring of the Short Service Employee (SSE) Program for base, yard and workshop employees.
  • Independently monitor and observe ongoing base, yard and workshop operations to ensure they conform to Nabors HSE Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as well as industry best practice standards.
  • This should include any base/yard/workshop refurbishment and construction projects which may take place.
  • Initiates and participates in any base, yard and workshop Incident Investigations.
  • Ensure that the base, yard and workshop comply with the Nabors requirements on all internal safety e and surveys.
  • Perform base, yard and workshop HSE audits and inspections and reports trends to management.
  • Ensure base, yard and workshop HSE Critical Equipment is maintained as directed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the Nabors HSE department.

What You Will Do More

  • Maintains base, yard and workshop evacuation plans, drills, procedures and reports.
  • Ensure Safety Alerts and Bulletins are communicated to the relevant staff in the base, yard and workshop.
  • Facilitate the Job Safety Analysis process for the base, yard and workshop.
  • Participate in all pre-job planning activities for high exposure potential operations.
  • Coordinate with the base management concerning the implementation, understanding and application of the Rig Management System for all personnel in the base, yard and workshop.
  • Implement and oversee the STOP program in the base, yard and workshop for effectiveness.
  • Oversee implementation of   and procedures such as the Permit to Work System, the Lock Out/ Tag Out System, Hazardous Chemical-MSDS documentation.
  • Mitigate hazardous conditions as required.
  • Coordinates and participates in base, yard and workshop HSE meetings.
  • Monitor readiness/response to emergency situations through regularly held and documented drills.
  • Maintain a Corrective Action register pertinent to the Coordinator’s job tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that the base/yard/workshop LEMS inspections are carried out in accordance with Nabors policies.
  • Conduct Fire Extinguisher inspections and maintain records accordingly.
  • Submit reports to management on the base/yard/workshop HSE status, problems and solutions.
  • Assist HSE Superintendents in tracking audit closures and completions as well as tracking attendance and acknowledgement of subject specific campaigns.
  • Maintain HSE Safety Equipment Catalog and associated Material Requisitions
  • Perform other duties as required to assist the efficient operation of the HSE Department.
  • Support and participate on achieving organizational QHSE objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements For HSE Coordinator

The eligibility requirements for the role of HSE Coordinator are as under:

  • University Degree preferred.
  •  Experience in multi-task environment.
  • 3 – 5 years safety systems experience or exposure (preferred).

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of basic HSE Management Systems.
  • Computer proficiency in current versions of Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Graphical / Presentation development skills (preferred).
  • Self-starter able to prioritize and organize workload on a daily basis with minimal supervision.
  • Able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities, good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and maintain a team spirit and cooperative attitude.
  • Detail-oriented, consistent and excellent organizational skills.
