An exciting opportunity has arisen for Housekeeping Team Leader to join the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The selected candidate will be responsible to lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and adherence to standards in guest rooms and public areas, while fostering a positive work environment and guest satisfaction in the hotel.

Responsibilities of Housekeeping Team Leader

  • Supervising and training housekeeping staff to ensure they understand their duties, adhere to hotel policies and procedures, and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Conducting regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Managing inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Creating and managing work schedules for housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times and adjusting staffing levels as needed.
  • Ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet or exceed cleanliness standards set by the hotel, including cleanliness, orderliness, and proper presentation of amenities.
  • Addressing guest concerns and requests related to housekeeping services promptly and effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction and retention.
  • Assisting in the management of the housekeeping department budget by controlling costs, monitoring expenses, and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals, adherence to regulations, and implementation of safety protocols.
  • Providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities for housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborating with other hotel departments such as front office, maintenance, and food and beverage to ensure seamless guest experiences and efficient hotel operations.
  • Generating regular reports on housekeeping performance, including cleanliness scores, guest feedback, and productivity metrics, and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Providing leadership and motivation to housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting teamwork and excellence in service delivery.

Requirements of Housekeeping Team Leader

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience in a Team leader role within a recognized five-star hospitality establishment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in customer experience and a proven track record in effectively managing and driving guests experiences .

Skills Desired

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English and a second language (Russian, German, Arabic or French) would be an added advantage.
  • High proficiency in computer systems such as Microsoft Office, HotSOS, and Opera PMS.
