NMC Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a candidate for the job role of a Housekeeping Supervisor in Royal Womens Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 6000-8000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.
Responsibilities of Housekeeping Supervisor
- Checks certificates, competencies and experience of assigned contractor and staff.
- Verifies the competency and efficiency of contractors using clients’ reference checks.
- Checks timely-on-site availability of contractor staff in the hospital as per the contract schedule.
- Submits monthly reports to the Facility Manager, addressing the following criteria:
- Adherence of contractor to quality guidelines as agreed by the contractor.
- Promptly responds to all work order made by end users hospital wide and assigns contractors accordingly.
- Monitor and submit the Quality Performance indicators as required.
- Need to address the Adverse incidents such as Instances of patient complaints with regard to breach of safety, security or hospital regulations, personal hygiene or behavior, indiscipline issues and failure to follow orders or carry out duties
- Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, tracks strategic goal accomplishment.
- Participates in management and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as required.
- Follows standard policies and procedures as required by HAAD, JCI, ISO, OSHMS and other regulatory bodies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiates within the department.
- Responsible for the Training and Development of housekeeping staff.
- Establishes an in-house training system that addresses company training needs.
Requirements for Role of Housekeeping Supervisor
- High School Graduate.
- At least three 3 years of in housekeeping in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- General knowledge of the procedures, equipment and supplies used in housekeeping.
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of housekeeping personnel.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy client and organizational requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and ability to consult with staff regarding continuous improvement.
- Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous / desirable but not essential.
- Possess a “can do” and flexible approach.
