Responsibilities of Housekeeping Supervisor

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities.
  • Train, motivate, and coach housekeeping team members to maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
  • Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and place orders as needed.
  • Schedule and assign duties to housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
  • Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally, taking appropriate action to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff to support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including front office and maintenance, to address housekeeping-related issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to housekeeping activities, including room occupancy, maintenance requests, and inventory management.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements of Housekeeping Supervisor

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience of 1-2 years as a housekeeping supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Skills and Knowledge desired

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
