Mina A’ Salam Hotel Madinat Jumeirah Resort is looking to hire suitable candidate for role of Housekeeping Attendant. The selected candidate will be responsible to carry out routine duties in cleaning & servicing of guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas ensuring high standard of personal hygiene. Also, Adhere to housekeeping standard operating procedures in line with Jumeirah philosophy and luxury status. Submit your application if you are interested.

Duties of Housekeeping Attendant

  • Constantly being aware of the room status and public areas of the assigned blocks (including but not limited to the guest’s corridors, back of the house areas, stairways, lift landings, guest/service lifts and service pantries) and proceed to the required actions to keep them clean and tidy.
  • Perform routine cleaning duties as below in designated areas such as bedroom, bathroom, common areas, floor corridor etc.
  • Collect trashes scattered around, empty trash containers and ashtrays.
  • Remove dirty bedding items (as required), soiled bed linen, pillow covers, napkins, soiled bathroom linen etc and change it with fresh items (bedding items, fresh bed linen & pillow covers, napkins etc)
  • Report unpleasant smell to team Leader (drainage, cigarette, musty).
  • Responsible for the Hotel property in the work area.
  • Deep Cleaning of bathroom.
  • Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms, removing dust and debris.
  • Dust and polish all furniture.
  • Realign furniture to the floor plan.
  • Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the areas assigned.
  • Provide turndown services as per standard requirement and guest preferred timing & preferences.
  • Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet.
  • Return, clean, tidy and restock cart at end of shift.
  • Follow Replenishments procedure according to the operational standards.

  • Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Understand the use of the housekeeping cleaning chemicals and other equipment and apply them accordingly to work.
  • Keep all equipment on assigned blocks clean and in good working condition to attain maximum life span.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
  • Handle guest complaints in a courteous and efficient manner ensuring guest satisfaction. Report problems to the Team Leaders if no immediate solution can be found.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions enabling delivery of luxurious service to guests and in line with Jumeirah standard of excellence.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment procedures, instructions, and controls.
  • Adhere to all relevant Security guidelines and procedures.
  • Report & Deposit Lost & Found Items to the Security.
  • Report valuable items found unattended in the room in occupied room.
  • Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed necessary.

Requirements of Housekeeping Attendant

  • High school diploma or certificate.
  • 2 year of experience in relevant field within the international hospitality industry

  • Proficient in English (Read/Write/Speak – Essential)
  • Knowledge of additional language (Desired)
  • Strong customer service orientation.
