Role of Housekeeper

At American Hospital Dubai (UAE), the job role of a Housekeeper is to ensure that the assigned area of responsibility is cleaned according to Hospital Policies and Procedures – Including car park areas.

Responsibilities of Housekeeper

• Complete the assigned tasks are  within the period of duty.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures, handling of equipment and cleaning techniques especially including windows, facades, exteriors including car park.
• Advise Supervisor of any and all discrepancies, materials, safety clothing and Consumables for the completion of assigned tasks.

What you’ll do

• Complete all tasks in a safe and qualitative manner.
• Participate in counting of soiled linen from patient care areas.
• Ensure that the assigned area of responsibility is free of defects accordingly to Hospital Policies and Procedures.
• Play an active role in the waste management code of practice.
• Log in and out Housekeeping keys at all times.
• Immediately Hand over lost and found property to the security.

Housekeeper, Transguard Group

Education & Experience

• Basic Secondary Education.
• Any experience in Housekeeping is an advantage.

Skills

• Adequacy of written and spoken English.
• Basic Housekeeping / Cleaning knowledge.
• Physical ability and stamina to perform special tasks well.
