History Teacher – GEMS Education, Dubai
GEMS Education is seeking a passionate History Teacher to join one of its schools in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver engaging history lessons from KS3 through to A-Level, developing students’ analytical thinking and understanding of the past.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach History across KS3, KS4 and KS5 within the British curriculum
- Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level History examinations
- Use source analysis, debate and discussion-based teaching approaches
- Develop students’ essay writing and critical analysis skills
- Organise history enrichment activities and educational visits
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in History or a related discipline
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years of history teaching experience at secondary level
- Experience with Edexcel, AQA or Cambridge History syllabi
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
