Job Description
Shipping industry is seeking experienced Heavy/Light Driver to join their team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and excellent driving skills.
Responsibilities of Heavy/Light Driver
- Safely operate company vehicles, including heavy trucks, vans, or other vehicles as required.
- Transport goods and materials to specified locations in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and customers.
Requirements of Heavy/Light Driver
- Valid driving license.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- 1-2 years of experience in similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
