Role of Healthcare Operations Manager
Managing the healthcare facility’s policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices, and resolving cases where the facility is out of compliance.
Responsibilities of Healthcare Operations Manager
- Administrative duties such as keeping inventory of medical equipment and supplies.
- Set staff schedules, update and maintain patient records, and be an information resource for patients and healthcare workers.
- Find innovative ways to optimize the level of healthcare while also reducing the facility’s costs.
- Develop departmental goals and objectives for workers to improve the patient experience.
- Conduct a monthly comprehensive audit & site visit. Conduct unannounced hours visits once a month.
- Support the Operations Director to deliver the above in line with the Companies Vision, values and strategy.
- Periodically manage internal audits with regards to service standards and compliance, delivering the agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Attend and contribute to the corporate agenda, attend Quality Review Meetings and routine finance meetings and other meetings.
- Share knowledge of the Hospitals and indicate targets set and progress made by his / her direction and support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB).
- Must have an experience of 5 – 10 years.
- Experience in Industrial Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency & Ambulance is preferable.
- Must have a Home Country License.
Knowledge & Skills
- Overall knowledge of Profit & Loss (P&L) business management (pricing, financial reporting, census measures, variance reports, labour reports, etc.
- Management skills.
- Organizational and Interpersonal skills.
