Hotels/Restaurant industry are looking for a dynamic and customer focused Head Waiter to lead their front of house team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a strong attention to detail. As a job holder, you will be responsible for ensuring that their guests receive exceptional service and that their restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities of Head Waiter
- Provide exceptional service to guests, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest concerns or inquiries
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front of house staff, including wait staff, hosts/hostesses, and bussers
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing staff
- Create and maintain a positive and professional work environment
- Monitor dining room operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize efficiency
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and timely service
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues or complaints in a prompt and courteous manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including overseeing table setups and ensuring adherence to sanitation and safety guidelines
Requirements of Head Waiter
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred
- Experience of 1-2 years in relevant role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and standards
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
