Head of Primary – GEMS Metropole School, Al Waha, Dubai

GEMS Metropole School in Al Waha, Dubai is seeking an inspiring Head of Primary to lead the primary school division. This senior leadership role requires an experienced educator with the vision and energy to drive academic excellence, pastoral care and community engagement across the primary phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the primary school, including KS1 and KS2
• Ensure consistently high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across all primary year groups
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of primary teachers and teaching assistants
• Oversee primary curriculum design, timetabling and enrichment programmes
• Monitor student progress and implement targeted intervention strategies
• Build strong relationships with parents, the wider community and school leadership
• Drive whole-school improvement priorities within the primary phase

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject; Master’s degree preferred
• PGCE, QTS, NPQH or equivalent leadership qualification
• Minimum 8 years of teaching experience with at least 3 in primary leadership
• Strong understanding of British curriculum, KHDA expectations and school improvement planning
• Proven track record of raising standards and leading high-performing teams
• Experience in an international school setting highly desirable

Salary and Benefits

• Tax-free salary: AED 28,000 – 38,000 per month
