Head of Maths – GEMS Education, Dubai

GEMS Education is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Mathematics to lead the maths department at one of its premium schools in Dubai. This middle leadership position requires an outstanding mathematics teacher with a proven track record of departmental improvement and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Mathematics department, setting the strategic direction for teaching and learning
• Ensure consistently high standards of maths teaching across all year groups from KS3 to A-Level
• Monitor, evaluate and improve student outcomes through data analysis and targeted intervention
• Conduct lesson observations, provide coaching and lead departmental CPD
• Manage the maths department budget, resources and curriculum development
• Prepare students for IGCSE, AS and A-Level Mathematics examinations
• Report to senior leadership on departmental performance and improvement plans

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 5 years of mathematics teaching experience with at least 2 in a leadership role
• Proven record of improving GCSE and A-Level maths results
• Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with UK examination boards
• Experience with KHDA inspection framework preferred
