Head of Inclusion – GEMS Founders School, Masdar City, Abu Dhabi

GEMS Founders School in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi is looking for an exceptional Head of Inclusion to lead its special educational needs provision. This role is critical to ensuring all students have equitable access to high-quality education and pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Inclusion department, overseeing SEN provision across the school
• Develop and implement inclusion policies aligned with ADEK requirements
• Manage a team of learning support assistants, SEN teachers and therapists
• Coordinate assessments, IEPs and intervention programmes for students with additional needs
• Provide CPD and training to staff on differentiation and inclusive practices
• Liaise with parents, external agencies and educational psychologists

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or Inclusive Education
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 5 years in SEND with at least 2 in leadership
• Knowledge of ADEK standards and UAE SEND requirements
• Experience with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties
• National SENCo Award or equivalent desirable
