Responsibilities of Head of FS

• Promoting and Ensuring Student Progress and Well being: Ensure positive learning environments, support transitions, uphold equal opportunities, manage behavior, set progress targets, analyze trends, and foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies.
• Leading Teaching and Learning and Managing Policy: Take responsibility for learning quality, curriculum consistency, policy development, assessment procedures.
• Contribute to staff training and maintain accurate records.
• Leading and Managing People and Teams: Promote a positive ethos and provide a role model for pastoral care and teaching.
• Stay updated on educational developments.
• Lead discussions on pastoral care and teaching, maintain trust and ensure effective communication within the team.
• Promoting and Representing the Year Group: Represent the year group in meetings, develop community links, handle complaints, liaise with external agencies, and collaborate with other Heads of Year for smooth transitions.
• Manage Finance and Resources: Efficiently plan, implement, and monitor expenditure, identify resources for progress tracking, control costs, maximize value for money, deploy support staff effectively, and maintain accurate inventories.

Requirements of Head of FS

The requirements of Head of FS at GEMS Metropole School are as under:

• Bachelors degree in related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role in any school.
