The Supreme Legislation Committee is looking to hire a Head of Corporate Communication Section who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Cooperate communication for an organization. The job was posted by the company on 26 February 2024.

About the Role

  • Supervise the organisation and management of functions and events, such as: conferences, seminars, interviews, ceremonies.
  • Participation in local, regional, and international exhibitions and other events.
  • This involves coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring availability of necessary resources for delegations & VIP visitors of SLC by facilitating procedures.
  • Provide all the required technical and administrative support.
  • To oversee all processes related to the development and execution of graphic media designs, production of publications and creative artwork.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of the SLC photo, video archive.
  • Ensure meeting of all technical requirements to support the work of the SL, the documentation of conferences, seminars, interviews, meetings.
  • Participation in exhibitions, media presence etc.
  • This involves providing documentary footage, informational DVDs, recording and projection devices, and photography services.
  • To supervise the development of standards related to the SLC brand identity to be included in the SLC Brand Identity Guide.
  • Implementation of these standards by all the SLC organisational units, employees, external entities, including the media and organisers of exhibitions, conferences,& events.
  • To play a key role in shaping the general policies and strategies of the SLC.
  • Develop the policies, plans, and strategic performance indicators related to the Corporate Communication Section’s functions.

What you will do more?

  • To prepare and review the draft annual budget of the Section, obtain the required approvals.
  • Ensure expenses and requisites are adequately covered in the budget.
  • Ensure expenses reflects the needs for implementing the operational plan, including identifying, in coordination with the other SLC organisational units, HR & resource requirements, financial standards, methodologies.
  • To prepare periodic reports on work progress and achievements of the Section, on attainment of operational objectives, and on performance indicators.
  • Identify any challenges faced by the Section, and propose the appropriate solutions for mitigation.
  • To provide oversight and guidance on all processes of drafting, reviewing, developing, and regularly updating the policies, regulations, processes required for corporate communication and media processes.
  • Assess the impact of their implementation on achieving targeted SLC stakeholder satisfaction levels.
  • Immediately report any impediments to the Director of the Corporate Communication Office to make the appropriate decisions or take the necessary action in this respect.
  • To implement media coverage strategy for administrative and legislative events, including official press statements by the leadership, media interviews, news on the SLC events and activities.
  • To ensure that all media content relating to the SLC, that falls within the scope of his work and functions, and that is broadcast  through all internal and external communication channels is tracked, recorded, and archived.
  • Develop a comprehensive database for all the SLC legislative and legal publications, designs, books, and bulletins.
  • To ensure update of website and social media accounts of the SLC with press releases.
  • Oversee the content, images, design to ensure alignment with the SLC Brand Identity Guide. 
  • To prepare annual reports assessing the accomplishments of the Section against performance indicators.
  • Provide relevant data, including the obstacles and challenges faced by the Section, and the actions taken to address them.

Requirements of Head of Corporate Communication Section

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, or any relevant field.
  • 12 years of work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Media, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, or any other relevant field.
  • 9 years of work experience.
