Head of Chemistry – Sunmarke School, Dubai
Sunmarke School, part of Fortes Education, is looking for an experienced Head of Chemistry to lead the Chemistry department. This middle leadership role requires an outstanding chemistry teacher with proven departmental leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Chemistry department, managing staff and curriculum delivery
- Ensure high standards of chemistry teaching across KS4 and KS5
- Monitor student outcomes and implement improvement strategies
- Manage laboratory resources, equipment and safety procedures
- Conduct lesson observations and lead departmental CPD
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry; Master’s preferred
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 5 years teaching with at least 2 in leadership
- Proven track record of improving chemistry examination results
- Strong data analysis and leadership skills
Salary and Benefits
- Tax-free salary: AED 18,000 – 25,000 per month
