Jumeirah Burj Al Arab is presently recruiting suitably qualified and skilled candidate for the role of Guest Relations Executive. The opening of Resort is scheduled this month, so this vacancy has been posted by the hotel for desirous applicants to hurriedly apply and make use of this fleeting opportunity.

Responsibilities of Guest Relations Executive

  • Ensure hostess desk/door is always crewed so that all guests receive a friendly & prompt welcome.
  • Schedule dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for customers according to the Restaurant Reservations SOP.
  • Actively uses the standards detailed in F&B Enquiry/ Booking checklist when taking Restaurant enquiries or bookings.
  • Greet guests, and escorts them as required. Must familiarize with the menu to answer guest’s queries.
  • Ensure that all complaints are promptly attended to and check with the guest for Feedback.
  • Maintain knowledge of all in-house services as well as local information and must be able to assist guests as per their enquiries.
  • Identify guest’s needs and expectations correctly, including those with functional needs, and provide appropriate products, services, or information in line with Heart of Jumeirah. Inform staff on next shift about functional needs or as necessary.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the dining room layout, table numbers, stations and colleagues working during each shift
  • Answer telephone within 3 rings using the JI Standard script and respond professionally.

Requirements of Guest Relations Executive

The requirements of Guest Relations Executive are as under:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in guests service-related work in a 5-star hotel in Casual/All Day Dining.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in English and a second language (preferably Russian) would be an added advantage.
  • Strong Customer service orientation and ownership.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
