The client is a subsidiary of a growing and renowned holding group based in Abu Dhabi and specialises in natural resources with a unique mission consisting of maximising value for the stakeholders while minimizing environmental impact.The client has the ambition to be a leader in its sector and has a clear growth strategy & is actively looking for a Group Finance Controller to join the finance team. Responsibilities of Group Finance Controller
- Lead and oversee the entire group financial reporting and consolidation process, ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant industry standards.
- Develop and implement robust financial controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data and mitigation financial risks.
- Liaise and collaborate effectively with finance leaders at subsidiaries to gather information, address concerns, and ensure consistent reporting practices.
- Manage the process of closing the books on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions-making for the company.
Requirements of Group Finance Controller
- Being a Qualified Finance professional.
- A BIG4 background is required.
- Proven track record of 5 to 10 years of experience (maximum) in the finance function, specifically into reporting & consolidation (IFRS10 is a must)
- A previous experience in natural resources, holding, infrastructure, Oil & Gas, energy is mandatory.
Skills and Abilities Desired
- Strong leadership and communication skills as well as a hands-on approach and do-er attitude.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and proven experience applying them in a complex setting.
