Graduate Engineer Highways AECOM Abu Dhabi

AECOM industry leading Roads & Highways team is seeking a Graduate Highways Engineer to embark on a dynamic journey in road design and engineering. As a key member of their Highways team in Al Karamah Street، International Tower, Capital Centre, Floor,10 Al Karamah St, Abu Dhabi, UAE, candidate will gain exposure to essential road design software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D while developing a range of valuable skills. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 6000-12000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Graduate Engineer Highways

• Assist senior engineers in preparing scope of works documents and project design criteria.
• Apply QA/QC procedures to ensure sound and coordinated design across disciplines.
• Gain experience in road design, including plans, profiles, typical sections, cross sections, and signage.
• Utilize PowerPoint to create presentations and progress reports.
• Develop proficiency in road design software.

Requirements for Role of Graduate Engineer Highways

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with courses taken in Roads/Highways related subjects from an accredited University.
• Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM’s Graduate Program.
• Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.7 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.
• As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
• Previous consultancy road design internship experience is a plus.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Familiarity with engineering standards, codes of practice, and local authority guidelines is advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong communication and technical report writing skills.
