Governance Specialist Emirates NBD

Governance Specialist at Emirates NBD is responsible to play a pivotal part of the overall business support function and is tasked with supporting the unit with all compliance and regulatory related requests and issues. To Ensure remediation activities and compliance alerts executed / managed end to end with diligence as per policy and procedure and Ensure record management and action on outstanding cases/action points. The purpose is to Maintain a high level of awareness regarding policy and procedure and fostering collaboration with customers, Relationship Managers (RMs), centers, and compliance teams. This is an intermediate level and full time role and for this job the salary ranges from 10000 AED to 18000 AED.

Responsibilities of Governance Specialist

• Lead and manage a team of KYC specialists with regards to ongoing reviews of existing accounts both periodically and upon trigger to ensure that regulatory and Compliance requirements are met.
• Ensuring record management and action on outstanding cases/action points.
• Liaising with Group Compliance, Tanfeeth group operations, technology team, operational riskand investigation as and when required.
• Execution of various activities, MIS preparation and validation, reporting to management.
• Oversight and coordination for remediation efforts, whether it pertains to High-Risk customer reviews or any other projects. This involves close collaboration with Tanfeeth, RMs, Customers, compliance, and relevant stakeholders to ensure precise execution.
• Execution of other compliance alerts as per unit requirements, ensuring that they are carry out in strict adherence to policy and procedure.
• Assist Governance Manager in all ongoing group and team projects and any thematic reviews as identified.

Requirements of Governance Specialist

• University Degree in Business or Finance.
• 2-5 years work experience in Operation/Customer Service in a financial industry.
• At least minimum 1 year of KYC & financial crime risks.
• Any compliance certifications will have an added advantage.
