Geography Teacher – GEMS Education, Dubai
GEMS Education is looking for a qualified Geography Teacher to teach across secondary year groups at one of its schools in Dubai. The ideal candidate will bring fieldwork expertise, strong subject knowledge and the ability to make geography relevant and exciting for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Geography across KS3, KS4 and KS5 within the British curriculum
- Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level Geography examinations
- Plan and lead geographical fieldwork and educational visits
- Use GIS technology and current global issues to enhance learning
- Contribute to the Humanities department and cross-curricular initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related discipline
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years of geography teaching experience
- Experience with UK examination boards for Geography
- Fieldwork planning and risk assessment experience
