Responsibilities of A Geo Technical Engineer

•  Conduct site investigations, ground probing, and in-situ monitoring to assess the geotechnical and hydrological conditions of the project area.
• Perform analysis of soil and rock properties, groundwater flow, and seepage using various geotechnical models and software tools.
• Design the tunnel alignment, cross section, and support system to ensure the stability and safety of the tunnel under different loading scenarios, such as water pressure, seismic events, soil settlement, etc.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, such as structural engineering, hydraulic engineering, environmental engineering, etc., to ensure the Supervision on the project.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for the tunnel design and construction.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Geo Technical Engineer are as under:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering from a recognized university.
• 15 years of Project-related relevant experience in marinec construction and be extremely familiar with the installation of submerged pipelines.
• Previous experience in an oversight role of marine contractors is strongly preferred.
