Looking for General Practitioner Occupational Medicine jobs in Abu Dhabi? Via Medica International Healthcare is seeking an experienced General Practitioner specialising in Occupational Medicine to join their team in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, this is a full-time role for MBBS-qualified doctors with an active DOH license who are ready to make an immediate impact in a demanding occupational health setting.
About the Role
The General Practitioner – Occupational Medicine will provide comprehensive occupational health services to workers and employees within the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. Moreover, this role encompasses conducting workplace health assessments, managing work-related injuries and illnesses, and ensuring full regulatory compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Health standards. Furthermore, the successful candidate must be willing to relocate to the Western Region, where the company provides full accommodation, food, and transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work health examinations for employees
- Diagnose, treat, and manage occupational illnesses, injuries, and work-related medical conditions
- Provide general medical consultations and primary healthcare services to site employees
- Develop and implement workplace health and wellness programs in line with DOH regulations
- Monitor workforce health trends and recommend appropriate preventive measures
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and occupational health documentation
- Coordinate with HR and safety teams on fitness-for-duty and return-to-work assessments
- Ensure full compliance with UAE occupational medicine standards and DOH requirements
- Participate in emergency response planning and workplace health risk evaluations
Requirements
- MBBS degree with active Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) License — mandatory
- Certification or postgraduate training in Occupational Medicine
- Proven clinical experience in occupational health or industrial workplace settings
- Strong knowledge of UAE DOH regulations and occupational medicine standards
- Willingness to relocate to and reside in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi
- Immediate availability to join is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and interpersonal skills
