Purpose of General Practitioner

Promote the overall health and well being of patients by providing essential medical care to them, amply catering for wide range of health concerns / issues.

Job Duties of A General Practitioner

• Be the first person to meet in case any patients needs immediate medical care / attention.
• Carry out general check up of patients.
• Diagnose any ailment and prescribe its appropriate medication.
• Carry out various tests, interpret the findings from the tests to help reach the diagnoses.
• Refer the patients to consultants or specialist in case of requirement.
• In case of requirement, coordinate support required from other allied professionals such as physiotherapists, nurses etc.
• Keep proper record of all patients and treatment given to them.
• Perform any other job duty as asked by higher authority.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors degree (MBBS or MBChB) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in same role.
• DHA/MOH/DOH License or DOH Passer.
