Financial Services industry are known for its exceptional customer service and commitment to excellence. This industry are currently seeking a professional and friendly individual to join their team as a Front Desk Receptionist. This role serves as the first point of contact for their guests/customers and plays a crucial part in ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities of Front Desk Receptionist
- Greet guests/customers in a warm and welcoming manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments, verifying identification, and issuing room keys/visitor badges.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously, resolving issues and escalating complex matters to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including arranging materials, brochures, and promotional displays.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest rooms, facilities, and amenities are well-maintained and ready for use.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and transactions using computerized systems or manual logs.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and sorting mail, as needed.
- Adhere to security and safety protocols, including monitoring access to restricted areas and following emergency procedures.
Requirements of Front Desk Receptionist
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or training in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience of 1-2 years as a receptionist, front desk agent, or customer service representative preferred but not required.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and reservation software; experience with property management systems (PMS) is an asset.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service to guests/customers.
