Food Technology Teacher – GEMS Founders School, Dubai

GEMS Founders School in Dubai is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join its Design and Technology department. The successful candidate will deliver practical and theoretical food technology lessons, inspiring students to develop culinary skills and nutritional understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, preparing students for GCSE examinations
• Plan and deliver practical cooking sessions in a school kitchen environment
• Ensure all food hygiene and safety standards are maintained
• Develop student knowledge of nutrition, food science and sustainable food production
• Organise food-related events, competitions and enrichment activities

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, Nutrition or related field
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Food Technology
• Strong practical cookery skills with a focus on health and nutrition
• Level 2 Food Safety certification or equivalent

Salary and Benefits

• Tax-free salary: AED 10,000 – 15,000 per month
