Job Description

Food Safety Coordinator at Sharjah Coop will be responsible for all administrative tasks of the food safety & quality assurance section. Ensure documentation data entry process and all department’s tasks are completed in line with Sharjah co-op policies and procedures. Ensure that all stores’ conditions adhered to food safety and hygiene regulations. Coordinate and monitor all training activities and ensure adherence to the training plan. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-25000 AED/month.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that changes or new laws, rules and regulations are communicate timely to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all training activities, ensure all trainings are provided as per training plan, track attendance or required participants, and prepare the training materials as instructed.
  • Follow up on all municipality findings and complaints, ensure corrective action was taken and record all corrective/preventive actions for further analysis as well as for reference for official authorities.
  • Support in conducting food safety and quality audits, ensure documentation process is complete.
  • Prepare analysis and insight on the status of food safety and quality standards by branches and accumulated based on internal historical data, trends and research/benchmarks.
  • Support in all ad-hoc requirements with information and data as required and prepare draft presentations for meetings with the senior management.
  • Effectively manage changes and conflicts during requirements gathering process.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with external and internal stakeholder.
  • Collect all reports from municipality visits, supervisors and maintain periodical reports which provide well-informed information on food safety and quality assurance tasks, problems/potential problems, results of efforts, and recommendations for corrections.
  • Conduct continuous research on the up-to-date approaches and techniques, methods, tools to implement best practices in work.
  • Assist the team members in any other tasks that may arise as required.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager.

Requirements for Role of Food Safety Coordinator

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain with Food Safety.
