Al-Futtaim Group is currently seeking a talented and performance driven FM Engineer to join Al Futtaim Engineering & Technologies in Dubai, UAE. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparation of cost estimation, proposal & contract agreement for all phases of FM Civil construction projects, civil fitout / renovation works / rate cards including coordinating with inhouse team & subcontractors. Responsibilities of A FM Engineer

• Creation of Bids.
• Managing and prioritising workload.
• Bid/No Bid management.
• Follow bid process based on clients budget constraints for any specific project, carrying out value engineering studies.
• Review tender / contract documents to understand the complete scope for tendering projects.
• Managing QS related works for the civil projects.
• Contractors for outsourced scope of work.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
• Lead the development and preparation of RFP’s, Pre-Qualification, formal presentations.
• Achieve pre-sales targets set by the management.
• Achieve and enhance customer satisfaction by meeting and /or exceeding the customer requirements.
• Clear communications with all customers.
• Liaise internally with all departments especially HR, finance, operations and commercial.
• Contribute to develop a customer focused service and a positive corporate image, including the maintenance of good working relationship with client, client representatives.
• To manage the creation of bid related materials.
• Manage and control bid related stationery.
• RFP and bid related documentation control.
• Developing case studies, client profiles and other supporting documentation that showcases AFE Civil capabilities.
• Execution of Casual jobs / Projects, efficiently within the budget and ensure profitability.
• Generate revenue from refurbishment / retrofit works.
• Manage and update all sales related MIS.
• Proactively manage the renewal of all existing contracts.

Qualification Requirements for Role of FM Engineer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4 – 5 years of experience in the Civil Fit out, Renovations Projects and bid/proposal production.
• High level of expertise on Auto Cad, word, excel, power point.
• Some previous experience of cost estimation.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

• Knowledge of facilities planning and construction management processes and procedures.
• Carryout conditional assessments, prepare cost estimates, technical justifications for retrofit, replacement works.
• Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices.
• Knowledge of current status of costs of new construction, escalation factors, and market trends.
• Ability to understand and work with commercial requirements like plan cost, budgets limits, profit and loss.
• Good communication skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Commercially and financially aware.
• Strong analytical skills.
