Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Truck Driver & Firefighter to join our emergency response team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving fire trucks, operating firefighting systems, and responding to emergency situations. If you have a passion for public safety, possess the required qualifications, and have significant experience in fire services, we invite you to apply for this critical role.

Responsibilities of Fire Truck Driver

  • Drive the fire truck to the scene of a fire or emergency, ensuring a quick and safe arrival. Operate fire pumps and other firefighting systems mounted on the vehicle.
  • Actively participate in firefighting and rescue operations, handling various firefighting systems during both fire and non-fire emergencies, particularly in facilities with flammable and hazardous materials.
  • Participate in regular drills and tactical exercises according to site-specific emergency procedures and protocols. Also, engage in joint emergency exercises with external agencies.
  • Perform daily checks on fire vehicles and conduct scheduled testing of fire pumps and other firefighting systems to ensure they are operational at all times.
  • Carry out scheduled site visits to become familiar with facility layouts and surrounding areas to improve response times and efficiency during emergencies.
  • Comply with orders from superiors regarding the proper handling, maintenance, and operation of firefighting equipment.
  • Be prepared to respond to major emergencies beyond regular duty hours, following Emergency Management Procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Completed Secondary School Certification or equivalent from your country of origin.
  • Six months of formal firefighter training at a government-recognized institution.
  • Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license (mandatory).
  • At least 5 years of experience as a regular firefighter in a busy operational fire brigade, ideally in a large petrochemical or refinery complex.

Additional Skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm during emergencies.
  • Strong physical fitness to handle the demands of firefighting duties.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow strict procedures and protocols.
