Job Description
As a Fire Command Center Operator for Conrad Dubai, you are responsible for the safety and security of all Guests, Team Members and contractors, and visitors while at the hotel. The role holder is also responsible for the safety and security of the hotel premises and responsible for supporting in assessing the overall fire safety and life safety performance in the hotel, completing formal and regular performance evaluations and coordination of work activities.
Responsibilities of Fire Command Center Operator
- Conducting regular inspections of fire safety systems, e.g., Fire alarm control panel, fire pumps, megaphone, eye wash station, kitchen suppression systems, exit door, fire extinguisher, fire blanket etc.
- Maintain logs, records and documentation of work activities, e.g., dispatch, inventory logs, maintenance and repairs, updating fire book, training records, work permit records, incident reports etc.
- Able to handle calls from other departments and guest and able to dispatch security officer.
- Able to diagnose basic faults in FLS control systems and report to FLS vendors.
- Able to manage the contractor and arrange planned preventive maintenance of FLS systems.
- Able to conduct Life safety equipment testing.
Requirements of Fire Command Center Operator
- Diploma or certification in fire safety or related field.
- 1-2 years previous experience in a similar role, preferably working within an industry which monitored large volumes of people movement
- Experience in planning, organizing, and enforcing security systems
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Current and working knowledge (proof of valid qualifications required) of fire, safety, and first aid
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Excellent personal presentation.
