Mubadala Health is actively seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Financial Analyst in Abu Dhabi. The successful applicant will join United Eastern Medical Services to deliver his services. Responsibilities of Financial Analyst

  • Pro-actively participates in collaboration with the Line Manager to meet the division’s strategic and operational goals.
  • Adheres to the division’s policies, procedures and standards while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Contributes to developing the division’s policies and procedures and provides recommendations towards improving them wherever applicable.
  • Contributes towards an innovative culture of continuous improvement for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participates in meetings and maintains professionalism and confidentiality as per the organization’s standard code of conduct.
  • Completes personal performance evaluation cycle in a timely manner.
  • Assists and supports the efficient management and implementation of financial processes and procedures in line with existing policies, frameworks and guidelines to achieve MH’s strategic financial goals and objectives.
  • Prepares monthly revenue reports, formulates variance analysis on a monthly, quarterly and year-to-date basis, prepares the rejection analysis reports, as well as various OPEX and COS reporting elements.
  • Act and liaise with service line mangers to assess profitability at each service line.
  • Works on asset scorecards, annual budget and CAPEX monitoring.
  • Preparation of various operational reports such as: length of stay, bed utilization reports, productivity ratios, statistics, etc.
  • Monitors cash price calculations for clinical services, creates business cases for new medical equipment.

What you’ll do as Financial Analyst

  • Act and liaise with the payers on the day-to-day challenges within the assets in authorization, submission, resubmission, and denials.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives.
  • Take reasonable care of own safety and health, and of others that might be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
  • Comply with reasonable OSH instructions and safe working procedures. Familiarize yourself, understand, cooperate and comply with employer OSH policies, procedures with respect to any instructions and/or actions taken by the management.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems and ensure they are maintained in good working condition.
  • Be familiar and participate in emergency management and evacuation drills.
  • Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safety.
  • Assist with the preparation of risk assessments.
  • Report all OSH hazards, incidents and issues to their immediate supervisor.
  • Attend mandatory OSH trainings in accordance with the OSHMS requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and impactfully to achieve high productivity and to maintain strong relationships with external/internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Maintain good interdivisional liaison to ensure smooth implementation of strategic and operational activities.
  • Act as an advocate for the vulnerable, challenging poor practice and discriminatory attitudes and Behavior relating to your care.
  • Contribute to the wider corporate and organizational development needs as appropriate within the scope of practice.
  • Take responsibility to ensure complaints, concerns, and recommendations are escalated appropriately and documented.
  • Comply and facilitate adherence of all staff to organizational policies, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Financial Analyst at Mubadala Health:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • Master’s degree is desirable.
  • CMA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA, CFA or equivalent certification.
  • Four years of experience in financial aid analysis and moduling.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
