Job Description
Financial Analyst in Health & Beauty at GMG plays a key role in driving business growth and profitability by analyzing financial performance, customer trends, and operational efficiency. This position focuses on evaluating sales performance, managing budgets, and forecasting financial outcomes for retail operations. Candidate collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic goals are met while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and streamline processes. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 7000-15000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Financial Analyst
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets for retail operations, including revenue projections and expense controls.
- Create financial forecasts to support inventory planning, seasonal trends, and promotional activities.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgets and actual performance.
- Operational Support: Assess inventory turnover, shrinkage rates, and cost efficiency metrics.
- Support pricing strategies by analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and product profitability.
- Evaluate the financial impact of marketing campaigns, discounts, and loyalty programs.
- Strategic Planning & Decision Support: – Provide insights to support store expansion, remodels, or closures.
- Collaborate with merchandising, supply chain, and operations teams to optimize financial outcomes.
- Analyze customer data to support personalized marketing and sales strategies.
- Compliance & Risk Management: – Ensure financial compliance with internal controls and retail industry standards.
- Identify financial risks in retail operations and propose mitigation strategies.
Requirements for Role of Financial Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Advanced certifications (CFA, CPA, or MBA) are a plus.
- 2 years of Retail Experience is a must, Healthcare Experience would be an advantage.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
- Ensuring accuracy in contracts, reports, and communications. –
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. –
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. –
- Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. –
- Understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
