Responsibilities of Finance Manager

  • Initially, you will cover supporting the set-up of the local operations, including Finance aspects of the license application and associated regulatory actions, finalization and revisions to the business plan, and creation of necessary Finance policies and procedures and implementation of associated processes.
  • Following this, the role will have accountability for financial regulatory, entity and internal management reporting. As part of this, the role holder will also have responsibility for month-end closing of the P&L and Balance Sheet, forecasting and planning all activities for the entity, as well as responsibility for Treasury activities, notably FX, liquidity and capital management. 
  • These activities will be performed in conjunction with the global policies and procedures of the venture globally, ensuring alignment of activities and optimization across all markets.
  • The role holder is expected to work extremely closely with both the venture’s global Finance team, leveraging scale of resources, expertise and capabilities, as well as the local team, representing Finance as part of the local management team and driving returns and optimal financial performance.

Requirements of Finance Manager

The requirements of Finance Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience within Financial Services and across areas of Finance, including regulatory reporting, management reporting and Treasury.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills in working cross-functionall.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to drive business performance, and the ability to design and implement controls and operational processes.
  • The role holder must be familiar with local regulatory reporting requirements and will ideally have experience of local regulatory financial reporting.
  • They should be able to demonstrate experience and expertise in FX and payments.
  • Be able to link customer and products to financial reporting and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Able to demonstrate actions and an understanding in working in the best interests of the customer.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including effective presentation and coaching..
  • Excellent relationship management and diplomacy skills, ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Collegiate, solutions focused attitude.
  • Skilled decision maker, able to stand firm and show necessary flexibility where required.
