Facilities Manager Al Rabeeh Academy Abu Dhabi

Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager who will continuously strive to exceed customer expectations, while embracing the AI Rabeeh and Royal Group core values, for an immediate start. As a member of the school senior leadership team and under the guidance of the Principal, the incumbent will be responsible to effectively lead all Facilities lead operations and ensures the school complies with all AI Rabeeh’s policies, procedures, HSE, audit and regulatory directives within daily school operations. Also role holder will maintain the school building to its best possible condition with regards to health, safety, security and cleanliness. You will alsp provide leadership to facilities, security and transportation teams ensuring that all tasks are carried out with highest level of professionalism.

Responsibilities of Facilities Manager

  • Develop & maintain effective partnerships and engage in positive communication with all staff and senior leaders.
  • Provide leadership for the facilities team, cleaners, security team and any other contracted staff.
  • Ensure campus safety.
  • Comply with all Al Rabeeh Academy policies, procedures and quality standards as well as safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure facilities effectively maintained to provide a safe environment.
  • Maintain effective safety program for all members of facilities, complete all safety checks on equipment systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule all maintenance, cleaning requests and work orders.
  • Supervise and train custodial, mechanic and maintenance team, evaluate workloads and reassign job functions for more efficient operation.
  • Ensure compliance with government health and safety standards, keep records of all permits, licenses and citations.
  • Oversee all third-party vendors i.e. pest control and alarm system.
  • Manage the fire, safety and security systems.
  • Respond quickly to emergency problems and be on-call 24/7 to meet with vendors, repairmen or suppliers when necessary.
  • Purchase all facilities cleaning and operation supplies and materials, research prices and buy items based on best prices with quality and volume in mind.
  • Maintain owner manuals/information, asset lists, schedules and maintenance records.
  • Coordinate move/relocation with IT and other related parties as required.
  • Conduct monthly operational checks of school alarm systems and fire safety appliances.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Support the Head of Operations, Principal and/or their delegate with administration of the Crisis Management and Reporting protocol if/when required.
  • The Facility Manager is the school’s key authority in ensuring the school campus is kept to a standard that is required by local and international school inspection boards at all times in terms of cleanliness, health and safety and functionality
  • Undertake strategies to reduce the consumption of water, cooling & electricity whilst ensuring the standards of the school and the Staff Accommodation.
  • Liaise with the school’s HR, Procurement and Operational Support to ensure the preparation, maintenance (if applicable) and departure of staff in the provided accommodation meets all requirements.

Requirements for Role of Facilities Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience of successful facilities management experience in a school.
  • Previous experience in HSE.

Skills Desired

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the school.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent IT Skills.
  • Ability to speak another language is desirable.
